Hand Built Darted Forms
This course takes a deep dive into hand building functional forms using the technique of darting. Darting, often used in sewing, is where a section of material is removed in order to create a change in the form. Liz guides viewers on how to make and use complex 2-dimensional darted patterns to create 3-dimensional forms. This course is geared towards the advanced beginner and beyond. Knowledge of basic hand building techniques is helpful but not required. The format is self-paced so viewers can watch (and rewatch) on their own schedule.
This 2 hour and 51 minute course covers:
Discussion on select hand building tools from Liz’s toolbox
“Hand Building Basics”: a 46 minute segment where Liz provides tips and techniques to set viewers up for hand building success
