This course intends to demystify working with soft slabs and offers the essential components to creating unique hand built pots. It is intended for all levels of hand building enthusiasts. It provides the fundamentals for beginners as well as tips and techniques for the more advanced ceramicist.

This course takes a deep dive into hand building functional forms using the technique of darting. Darting, often used in sewing, is where a section of material is removed in order to create a change in the form. Liz guides viewers on how to make and use 2-dimensional darted patterns to create 3-dimensional forms. This course is geared towards the advanced beginner and beyond. Knowledge of basic hand building techniques is helpful but not required.
