Materials and Tools
Students Bring:
Links provided but feel free to source anywhere
Scissors, pencil, eraser, ruler, notebook, masking tape
X-acto Knife (or your favorite knife)
Needle tool
Mudtools “Yellow” Rubber Rib (or any rubber rib)
Large rolling pin with bearings
Rubber brayer (or pony roller)
Small, lidded container (for construction slip)
Slip trailer with fine metal tip (bring your favorite)
Turn table (or banding wheel)
Favorite texture makers - bisque or rubber stamps, found objects, fabric
Thin plastic to cover work
Box and bubble wrap to transport finished work
Bagged lunch (coffee and lite snacks provided)
Optional:
Work apron
Clean Mud Mat (very useful if you plan to continue to hand build)
Liz Will Provide:
Cone 6 Stoneware Clay
Slip (for slip trailing)
Stenciling Materials
Informative hand-outs
Graph Paper for patterns
Kanthal Wire
