Materials and Tools
Students Bring:
Ideas of images or patterns to print
Your favorite clay working tools especially plastic and rubber ribs and a small sponge
Bucket
Spray bottle
Towel
Apron
Scissors
Pencils and pens
Sketchbook or notebook
Thin watercolor or bamboo brushes for drawing with underglaze and drawing fluid
Bagged lunch. Light snacks are provided
Before the class starts, please email me up to 3 JPEG’s of a black-and-white images that you would like to use with the mini EZScreens. I’ll print it out on a transparency in time for the workshop. Here is the website for EZScreens so you can get an idea of what we’re doing. Your drawing or image needs to be simple and with thick-ish lines to make a good screen. No pencil lines or shading. Consider drawing with a Sharpie or perhaps you might find some black and white clip art on line that you like. Your image should be about the size of an index card, 3” x 5.”

One silk screen for each student to use and take home
